THE OLDEST ART MUSEUM IN CANADA

You can easily access one of the most visited museums in North America as it’s only an 8-minute walk away from Chelsea House. The MMFA hosts highly original temporary exhibitions that combine various artistic disciplines, such as fine arts, music, film, fashion and design. It’s a must for art lovers! Psstt…you can also benefit from a student discount on the entry fee #winning!

ESCAPE THE CITY WITHIN THE CITY

Known as “the mountain” to the locals, Mount Royal is a quick walk away from Chelsea House. It’s the perfect place to enjoy the outdoors year-round. In the warmer months, you can benefit from walking, jogging and biking trails, as well as numerous lookouts that offer a spectacular view of the city. In the winter, you can skate outdoors at Beaver Lake, go sledding, and snowshoeing around the mountain. Fun fact: this park was designed by the same architect who conceptualized Central Park in New York City.

A LUNCH STAPLE

From gourmet salads to homemade chocolate chip cookies, Mandy's is THE go-to for a quick meal for Montreal students and professionals. The salad here is so good that even some A-List celebrities (hi, Jennifer Aniston!) have paid a visit here during their stay in Montreal. Chelsea House is close to not one, but three locations with each one carrying its own charm!

WORLD-CLASS CUISINE

Treat yourself at Marcus Restaurant + Lounge. You won’t regret it! Whether you’re in the mood for brunch, a quick drink with friends or a fancy supper, this is the place to be. Created by world renowned chef Marcus Samuelson (you might have seen him on the Food Network on shows such as Chopped), this restaurant offers more than food—it’s an entire experience! Lucky you, Chelsea House is only a 9-minute walk away from one of the best restaurants in the city.

FOR THE COFFEE LOVERS

Shaughnessy Café has become a landmark for serving some of the best coffee in Montreal. It’s the ideal spot to grab a quick coffee to go or to sit down for a study sesh. Oh and here’s the good part: it's right around the corner from Chelsea House!
