We've decided to post these updates on our website in order to let our visitors looking for student housing get an inside view of the Chelsea House student life!

Hey, CFam! How's everyone enjoying the school break, so far? We hope you're all having a blast!
As we say goodbye to some familiar faces, we're also excited to welcome some new ones into our CH community. We can't wait to get to know all if you and make some more memories together!
But before we get ahead of ourselves... let's not forget that there are still some very important things to take care of. As move-out day approaches for most of you, we want to give you some very important reminders before saying goodbye to your home away from home (at least for now for some!).

Beat the Heat and Go Paddleboarding ☀️
We've been seeing CFam's vacation photos and can't help but feel jealous! 🥹 For those of you who are looking for the next activity to try with the gang, we got something for you - paddleboarding! 🏄♀️ Aqua MTL, a paddleboard rental company, is offering portable paddleboards for rent for as little as $45 per day. You can reserve their paddleboards through their social media accounts or by direct messaging the company. They also have a store in Notre Dame O. that you might wanna check out! The rental includes a portable paddleboard, paddle, lifejacket, safety leash, manual pump, and carrying bag, and no security deposit is required!

Take a Videography Class at Concordia 🎥
To our aspiring CFam filmmakers, you wouldn't wanna miss this! Concordia University is launching a new four-week course on drone videography. The 15-hour course, piloted by award-winning indie filmmaker Diego Rivera-Kohn 🎬, will cover safety, ethical considerations, drone piloting techniques, flight plan development, artistic and cinematic techniques to create narratives using aerial imagery. The course will run from May 19 to June 9, and has limited spots for 14 students. Who could forget the highly anticipated highlight of every month - the Monthly Giveaway 🎁 One of our favorites would probably be the Habs Tickets 🎟️🎟️ won by Olivia 🇬🇷 who unfortunately couldn't make it, which led to an exciting turn of events 🤣
Patato Party 🥔 hosted by Ilias 🇫🇷 and the CH Event Committee 💪🏻
This was the first event organized by the CH Avengers 🦸♀️🦸♂️ aka the CH Event Committee and the gang did not disappoint! Everyone brought their own fave potato dishes 🥔🥔 which made it a huge success! 👏🏻
Of course, our CH crew didn't miss the chance to partake in the fun Super Bowl weekend thanks to Logan 🇺🇸, Ryan 🇨🇦, and Isaac 🇨🇦 of Apartment 8 who pulled off a last minute get together for the gang! 🔥

An all-time-fave activity by the CH Members year after year is the CH Fam Skating ⛸ event! This year, a total of 20 members joined the fun and participated in a Canadian tradition 🇨🇦 of lacing up skates ⛸️ and attending the opening night of Montréal en Lumiere Festival ❄️.

As you may recall the start of the admissions season is upon us, which means that we’re now interviewing all the prospective CH members to join our student house for the upcoming year.

Hey, gang! This week, spotlight is on one of our beloved members, Harrison from Dublin, Ireland 🇮🇪
Harrison was excited about joining CH and moving to Montreal because of its vibrant student community and the City's nightlife.
- Coffee Bar Attendant @ Mariott International Inc. | The job involves completing opening and closing duties, setting up work areas, stocking supplies, maintaining cleanliness, following company policies and safety procedures, and providing excellent customer service. The job also requires physical stamina and dexterity, as well as the ability to handle objects of varying weight and size and to navigate uneven or slippery surfaces.
- Office Assistant @ McGill | McGill is looking for someone who is able to monitor the schedule of the PI, provide assistance in expense claims, arrange meetings, book meeting rooms or virtual meetings, order lab supplies, reconcile Pcard expenses, prepare presentations and documents, collect data, organize events, and make travel arrangements for visitors. Best thing about working at the Uni is that it's only a few min. away from CH!
- Salesperson @ H&M | Calling CH fashion lovers! We found the perfect summer job for you 😉 The job involves creating an exceptional in-store shopping experience for customers and contributing to the growth of the store's turnover and profits. The role also includes promoting campaigns and offers, maintaining a clean and tidy sales floor, receiving and unpacking goods, giving and receiving feedback, and following health and safety procedures

MOVE-OUT REMINDERS 🚨
- Storage 📦
We've been receiving a lot of questions regarding storage in the past couple of days and would like to remind everyone to please check the move-out email we sent a few weeks back. It is extremely important that you complete each step of the move-out process in order for this practice to run smoothly for you and the members of the CH team. To refresh your memory, here are the steps that you need to complete:
Step 1: Confirmation of move-out
Step 2: Book move-out inspection
Step 3: Returning your security deposit/ providing banking details
Step 4: Letting us know your departure date
Step 5: Getting your luggage out of storage (if applicable)
All the details can be found in the move-out link that we sent via email. Feel free to reach out to us (info@chelsea.house) in case you still have questions.
- Inspections - Change of Schedule 🔍
Again, as previously mentioned, just like when you moved in, we’ll need to do an inspection of your apartment before you move-out. There will only be one inspection done per apartment, so all roommates who are moving out this month need to be present.
As such, we'd like to remind everyone to ensure that all members agree to the schedule before booking it on our calendar. This will help our inspection team be more efficient as well as make the process easier for you and your roommates as well.
